1. Information We Process

1.1 Data stored locally on your device

Most of your personal content stays on your device, including:

We do not operate a user account system and we cannot browse your routines from our side unless you send content yourself (for example via AI features or export sharing).

Important: Local storage is wiped if you uninstall the App, clear app data, or use Settings → Danger Zone → Delete All Data. We cannot restore local data after deletion.

1.2 AI generation and AI chat (cloud)

If you use AI features (for example generating a routine from a description, or AI chat):

AI prompts are processed to provide the feature you requested (App functionality). Do not include sensitive personal data in prompts if you do not want that content processed by our providers.

1.3 Microphone and speech recognition

If you use voice dictation for AI input:

Camera images for QR/barcode validation are processed on-device and are not uploaded as photos. Only decoded code values may be saved locally.

1.4 Analytics, diagnostics, and session replay (PostHog EU)

We use PostHog hosted in the European Union to understand how the App is used, improve features, run product experiments/feature flags, and diagnose problems.

When it starts: Analytics is off by default. It is enabled when you tap Get started (or the equivalent continue action) on the welcome screen, where you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy by continuing. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings → Data and Privacy → Analytics.

Depending on configuration, this may include:

When disabled, the App stops opting into PostHog collection for future use. Some diagnostics already sent cannot always be retroactively deleted (see §5).

1.5 Purchases and subscriptions

If you buy or restore Brainplanner Premium:

We may receive subscription status (active, expired, product identifiers, RevenueCat app user ID). We do not receive or store your full payment card number or billing address. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.

1.6 Device and other identifiers

The App may process:

These identifiers are not your name or email, but they can still be personal data under GDPR when they identify your installation over time.

1.7 Notifications and exact alarms

If you enable notifications/alarms, the App schedules local notifications and may use Android exact alarm capabilities so routines can fire on time. Alarm scheduling happens on device; notification payloads are not uploaded to our servers for marketing.

1.8 Website (outside the App)

Our website (https://brainplanner.netlify.app) may collect an email address if you voluntarily join an iOS waitlist or contact us. That website processing is separate from the mobile App’s on-device routines storage. Contact us to request deletion of a waitlist email.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

We do not:

5. Your Choices and Rights

In the App

GDPR (EU/EEA/UK where applicable)

Depending on your situation, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Because most routine content stays on your device, the fastest way to erase that content is deleting it in the App or uninstalling. For analytics, AI quota records, or purchase-related identifiers, email brainplanner538@gmail.com with enough detail for us to locate your request (for example approximate purchase date, RevenueCat/app user ID if you have it, or device clues). We will respond as required by law. Some anonymized or aggregated records may not be deletable as individual profiles.

CCPA / similar US state laws

We do not sell personal information. You may request information about categories of data we process and request deletion as described above.

6. Children’s Privacy

Brainplanner is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum digital consent age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through AI prompts, voice, analytics, or the website, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

7. Security

We use industry-standard protections appropriate to a local-first mobile app with limited cloud features:

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Exact alarm delivery can also be affected by manufacturer battery settings outside our control.

8. International Transfers

Where required, appropriate safeguards apply for cross-border transfers by those providers.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will change the Last Updated date above. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy. For material changes, we may also provide an in-App or store-listing notice when practical.
